Terms
What you can expect from the public website and the free services, and what we ask of you in return.

01
What these terms cover
These terms apply to the ixseo.com website, the free website analysis, the free tools and any report produced through them. They do not govern paid engagements: those are covered by a separate written agreement, and where that agreement conflicts with this page, the agreement takes precedence.
By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not, the appropriate response is to stop using it, which requires nothing of you.
02
What the free service is
The free analysis performs passive checks against information a website already publishes. It produces a directional assessment intended to help you decide what to look into further.
It is provided as it stands. We aim for it to be available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change, limit or withdraw any free feature. Rate limits apply so that the endpoints cannot be used as a scanning service.
IXSEO performs passive public analysis unless a separate authorised engagement has been agreed.
03
Your responsibilities
By submitting a website address you confirm that:
- you own the website, are authorised to assess it, or are submitting a publicly accessible address for a legitimate purpose such as competitor comparison;
- you are not using the service to identify targets, to facilitate an attack, or to circumvent any protection;
- you will not attempt to use it at a volume or frequency that burdens the website being analysed or this one.
The acceptable use policy sets this out in full. We may restrict access where use appears inconsistent with it, and we do not have to explain the specifics of a restriction to somebody who triggered it.
04
What is not promised
We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic volumes, revenue outcomes, or appearance or citation within any generative AI system. These are controlled by third parties who change them without notice, and any guarantee about them would be meaningless.
Scores are directional assessments based on the available evidence and should not be interpreted as search-engine rankings.
GEO assessments evaluate observable discoverability, structure, clarity and authority signals. They do not guarantee visibility or citations within third-party AI systems.
Security Exposure findings identify publicly observable indicators and do not replace an authorised penetration test.
Findings are based on what could be observed at the time of the analysis. A website that changes afterwards will not match a report produced beforehand, and a check that could not complete is reported as incomplete rather than as a pass.
05
Reports and how they may be used
You may use a report produced for your own website internally, share it with your team, your developers and your advisers, and act on it without further permission. That is what it is for.
You may not resell it, present it as your own work, or publish it in a way that implies IXSEO endorses a third party. The report usage page sets out the detail, including what may be quoted publicly.
06
Intellectual property
The IXSEO name, logo, the structure and wording of this website and the methodology described on it remain ours. The content of a report produced about your website is yours to use as described above.
Nothing on this site grants a licence to reproduce it wholesale, and the analysis methodology is not licensed for reimplementation as a competing service.
07
Liability
The free service is provided without charge and without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on a free analysis, from the unavailability of the service, or from a decision taken on the basis of a directional assessment.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Liability under a paid engagement is governed by that engagement’s own agreement.
A report is advice to be considered, not an instruction to be executed unexamined. Changes to a live website should be tested and reviewed by somebody who understands its context before being made.
08
Third-party services and links
The analysis uses third-party services including performance measurement and language-model interpretation. Their availability is outside our control, and an analysis continues with an honest notice where one is unavailable. Links to external websites are provided for reference and imply no endorsement of their content.
09
Changes and governing law
These terms may change. The review date at the top of the page changes when they do, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
